ProstaFlow Official Website › Guides
GuidesProstate Supplement Guides
Two long reads, neither of them a sales page. One walks the whole category and reports what the published record says about each ingredient on it, including the five this website does not sell. The other hands over a set of checks and then runs them, in public, on the bottle this desk makes its money from.
Written to be useful to somebody who leaves this website without ordering.
The two guides
Two long pieces, and what each is for.
What the research supports across prostate supplements
Saw palmetto has the largest trial base in this category and the most uncomfortable modern conclusion. Beta-sitosterol is the other pillar and its review is a quarter of a century old. The nitric oxide route is a real mechanism reached by a prescription drug class. The guide walks the whole shelf, with the record for each ingredient and the dose it was tested at.
Seven checks to run on any prostate supplement label
Is every amount printed? Can each row's real content be worked out? Do the ingredients match the category's own evidence base? Is each amount near the dose its research used? Seven questions, each with a pass and a fail written out, and then the same seven applied to the product this website sells.
The scorecard is the sharper of the two. It ends by scoring this website's own product against its own seven checks, and the product fails three of them: the category match, the distance between its amounts and the trials, and the one row whose contents the label does not let a reader derive.
That is deliberate. A checklist that its author's product passes seven times out of seven is a specification written backwards from a bottle, and it is worth nothing to the reader holding a different one.
Who these guides are written for
Five readers these were written for, and one of them buys nothing.
- Somebody comparing three packs in a shop who wants to know which questions distinguish them.
- Somebody who has been told he has an enlarged prostate and wants to understand what the shelf is actually offering.
- Somebody who read a sales page and wants to know which parts of it are checkable.
- Somebody who will buy nothing at all, which is a perfectly good outcome and is the reader the first guide was written for.
- Somebody weighing this website's own product, who is better served by a scorecard with failing rows in it than by a page of reasons to buy.
Neither guide is clinical advice and neither is a substitute for being assessed. What they do is make a shelf legible, which is a smaller job and a genuinely useful one.
The product pages on this website are elsewhere: the ingredients, the panel and the prices are all one click away and none of them is mixed into the two guides.
